Life Today

Boring, boring, boring days
Hope this is just a passing phase
Each day, I wake up with a half a mind
Drag out of bed and begin with the grind
Plop, plop, plop the drops of water fall
I can’t even be bothered to describe it all!

Long and tedious is the tread to work each day
Oh god! Couldn’t we just play for our bread and butter, I say!
Why, Oh! why, should I warm my seat all day
When all I want to do is have some fun and play.

Life is not all games, mom always says
What IS life exactly then, I’m still in a bit of a haze.
When the fun and games are out, everything becomes a little weary
Don’t know what’s the point then, it’s all so dreary.

I hope for better times, more rays of light
Encircling our lives with days more bright
Hopefully, work won’t always be such a drag
Of my laurels one day, I will surely be able to brag.

One last day

One last day we spend with you
Seems like the end but surely, that’s not true.
Times with you we will cherish forever,
Coz there’s not been a dull moment with you ever.

One last day we spend with you together
We’ve seen you transform and been thru tough times together,
You moved from a being a manager to a friend to a mother
You will be missed, you’re one of kind, there’s simply no other

Years will fly by and life will move on,
Children will grow up and tensions will be gone.
Then one day we will meet again
Hopefully, that time we will part with less pain.

We wish you good luck from the bottom of our hearts
It’s always so tough for good friends to part
Let’s hope for the best, as in the end,
You never know, we may meet soon at the next bend.

What a kiss means...

- Kiss on the Belly: I'm ready.

- Kiss on the Forehead: I want to be with you for the rest of my life.

- Kiss on the Cheek: We're friends.

- Kiss on the Hand: I adore you.

- Kiss on the Neck: I want you, now.

- Kiss on the Shoulder: You are perfect.

- Kiss on the Lips: I love you.

WHAT EACH GESTURE MEANS:-

- Holding Hands: We definitely like each other.

- Touching on the Butt: You're mine.

- Holding you tight pressed against each other: I want you.

- Looking into each other's Eyes: I like you, for who you are.

- Playing with Hair: Let's fool around.

- Arms around the Waist: I like you too much to let go.

- Laughing while Kissing: I am completely comfortable with you.

ADVICE:- If you were thinking about someone while reading this, you're definitely in Love.

Ba Ba

Six months old, so sweet so young
Singing songs with a rolling tongue

Oo, aa, ow, practicing vowels is done
Moving on to consonants is more fun

Ba Baa Baaah I love to say
Making my dearest Baba’s day!

Learning to say Ma ma soon
Surely, that will make her sweet heart swoon

I’m still so little, got a lot to learn
Got to charm people and make heads turn.

"Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose"- GS

Rose
Rose has been associated, with fragrance, love, beauty, riches etc over and over in poetry.
None, however, have ever used it like Gertude Stein as a part of her 1913 Sacred Emily.
She wrote:"Rose is rose is a rose is a rose"
This seemingly repetitive line has the deeper meaning that, at first, eludes us. Simple yet deep"A thing is what it is" (it has its identity) The Rose, had lost its identity for being 'just a rose' for many years in poetry (and this is merely her attempt to recover it.) Gertude Stein believed that 'in that line the rose is red for the first time in English poetry for a hundred years.'
A Sonnet is a poem of 14 lines. William Shakespeare wrote 154 sonnets along with his other works. The distinguishing features of the sonnets are that they are made of 3 quatrains and a couplet at the end.

My favourite Shakespearean Sonnet 146

Poor soul, the centre of my sinful earth,
These rebel powers that thee array;
Why dost thou pine within and suffer dearth,
Painting thy outward walls so costly gay?
Why so large cost, having so short a lease,
Dost thou upon thy fading mansion spend?
Shall worms, inheritors of this excess,
Eat up thy charge? is this thy body's end?
Then soul, live thou upon thy servant's loss,
And let that pine to aggravate thy store;
Buy terms divine in selling hours of dross;
Within be fed, without be rich no more:
So shalt thou feed on Death, that feeds on men,
And Death once dead, there's no more dying then.
